JaHbat F.C. was founded in 1996 by Franz Calixte, Kevin Francis, and Jean Gregoire to address the need for a top flight men’s Pro-Am soccer team in the Evanston and Rogers Park area. Chicago has a rich history of semiprofessional soccer, but the Evanston and Rogers Park community was never represented in a single team. Thus, JaHbat F.C. was created to fill the gap. JaHbat F.C.stands for Jamaica America Haiti Belize Asia Trinidad, the cultural backgrounds of the team’s first players. The team still boasts a diverse roster today, and for that reason, is unlike any other team in Chicago, and perfectly suited to represent our community. Today JaHbat F.C. Open Men’s Team competes in the prestigious National Soccer League of Chicago, and across the nation in tournament play.
Today, we are a growing club, providing the opportunity to train and compete at the top level for youth, as well as adults. JaHbat F.C. players have played at the highest levels collegiately, and some of us are pursuing professional careers in the NISL, CSL, the Danish Super Liga, England’s Coca Cola League 2, and traveling with Nike's various street soccer campaigns. The JaHbat F.C. family is expansive, and this wealth of soccer knowledge and experience is reflected in the training opportunities we give to our youth. We are dedicated to growing the community through teaching the game of soccer, providing a space for competition, creativity, and expression. We play and coach the game with skill, passion and ingenuity. Get in touch, come join us!!
